So here are the posters. Of the three themes i went with movie posters, although Seer could be some obscure Canadian indi band.
I used the lasso tool, particularly the polygon lasso, a lot, and erased through layers too.
I played with the text most on the katz poster. its weird how much the feel of the image changed from just slanting the text. Horizontal text was just way to calm for cats with machine guns.

I started these by trying out different type faces and choosing what I liked. The fat type tended to be more fun to play with. I chose letter that worked with the design I wanted (B for Batman, f for forrest) for some of the designs, but for others i just went for what letter was the most graphicly appealing to me.

scratch #2 and #3
For # 3 I used only the lasso tool with the opacity at about 50%. #2 I hadn't figured out how to fill in lasso shapes yet, so i just colored it with the paint brush tool. #1 i did with only the paint brush tool.
Before this class i had no idea how to use layers or how to mess with opacity. Hooray for layers!!!

Time to catch up on posts. So calvin and hobbs is what started it all. When i was about 11 or so i did a bunch of comics about a space fareing rabbit named "Super Spiffy". Or "Supper Spify", i was (still am) really bad at spelling. Any way, it was basically Spaceman Spiff, but a rabbit. Amazing, right?
